In the quest to make money on the old Internet, there is one model that stands head and shoulders above the others, and that is recurring income. The idea that you sell something once, and get paid over and over again for your efforts.
Sound too easy? Well, that is because it is. You just need a few parts of the puzzle to come together and take action.
I have several membership sites that pay the bills, pay my marketing expenses and give me a little bit of money each month to play around with.
I’m not a techie at all. I just use Clickfunnels, create content each month and then shoot a quick email to a particular list when it is done. Simple.
Before I go on, this model is based on a $4.95- $9.95 price point but there is no real reason you cannot charge more.
Recurring Income In 5 Steps
Step 1: Niche
One thing that stops people is over thinking this. You do not have to be an expert, you just need to be better than someone else. Throw your perfectionist hat out of the window.
The one tip i will give you is to niche down. Not just a ‘lose weight’ newsletter, but a ‘ Lose weight for new moms’ Newsletter. Not only will it make it easier to create targeted content, it will allow you to stand out in one small sub niche.
Do not be afraid of competition, and get started.
You only need to come up with new content once a month. Enough to write a 4-7 page newsletter. Or ONE video. That is it.
Newsletters can be written on a Word document and changed into a PDF. Add a logo and you are good to go. Forums are a great place to get ideas for content.
Step 2: Delivery
There are a lot of different ways to deliver your content automatically. It does not matter which membership site/script you use.
Just choose one and go with it. Heck, Gumroad allows you to get started without having to set up a site yourself.
Personally, I use Clickfunnels due to it being so so easy and flexible. I love it. Here is my review on that:

Email your list 3-4 times a week with value and entertainment and among all that suggest your newsletter. Anyone that buys needs to get moved off of that lit on to your ‘buyers’ list.
Step 4: Traffic
Depending on your niche, your audience will be hanging out in different places. They may be on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram… You need to research this and use the right medium to direct people to your landing page.
Get them on an email list in exchange for a related free gift and promote your newsletter/course to them.
Step 5: Track and Tweak
Most people give up when they do not get instant success. Suits me fine, more money for me but it is also a shame. Your success is right around the corner, you just need to test and tweak what you are doing until you find the winning combination.
In the previous post, I talked about the getting started of List Building on Youtube. And it all begins with doing your research.
Once you have chosen your niche, and identified the problems that folk are having in that niche, you need to have something that solves ONE problem or PART of that problem. And this is something that you will create and will become your Lead Magnet.
Creating a Lead Magnet is not hard, it just takes a little bit of time. The video explains all about it.
Creating a Lead Magnet
As you can see, creating a Lead Magnet basically means writing a PDF or making a video. They key is to offer value and make the person who subscribes to receive it feel as if they have gotten a great deal.
What you do not cover you can include in follow up emails (that info is coming soon). The process is simple, you put your squeeze page in front of people who would be interested and offer your lead magnet in exchange for their email address.
With Youtube this is easy as people come to you. They have high user intent. So as long as your video ranks, and you have your video set up correctly, you WILL get leads.
I will be covering all the steps in later videos but this is all about creating a Lead Magnet.
Google Drive is free and great for PDFs
